About Us

The Word of Life Christian Church had its beginnings in the town of Woking in the 1970s. Its desire and vision was to reach out to people so that they may know the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission today remains unchanged as we strive to do this as a church and as individuals.

We are associated to a group of evangelical churches spread across different European nations and currently our members and visitors are made up of a variety of nationalities.

Our desire is that our church would be a place where the Word of God, the Bible, is central to our life, where all present are free to worship God, enjoy the fellowship and grow in their faith.

Pastor Eddy Valletta

Pastor Eddy has been at Word of Life since the age of 8, when his family moved to England from Malta.  In 1993 he went to study Theology at the Italian Bible Institute in Rome (affiliated to the Italian Assemblies of God), where he met his wife Marilena.

Since 1997 Pastor Eddy has been an Elder with responsibilities for the youth work within the church, and in April 2008 Eddy took on the responsibility of being our pastor.

Besides being our pastor and father of two children, Eddy also works full-time as a motor vehicle technician.

Over the years I have seen the Word of Life develop and grow from being an Italian community church to being a fellowship where different nationalities and walks of life come together to worship God.  You will be sure to find a warm welcome with us.
